Automotive Service Technician Ayass Automotive | Chevrolet – GMC – Cadillac | Karbala, Iraq Ayass Automotive, the authorized dealer for Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac in Iraq, is seeking qualified Automotive Service Technicians to join our service team in Karbala. The successful candidates will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles in accordance with General Motors standards while ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs in accordance with GM manufacturer standards. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using approved diagnostic tools and systems. Complete assigned repairs accurately and within the required timeframe. Identify spare-parts requirements and communicate repair recommendations to the team leader or workshop controller. Conduct final quality checks to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards. Complete job cards, service reports, and repair documentation accurately. Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace. Ensure the proper use and care of tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices. Job Requirements Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair. Previous experience with an authorized automotive dealership or professional service center is preferred. Experience working with General Motors vehicles—Chevrolet, GMC, or Cadillac—is a strong advantage. Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair procedures. Intermediate English proficiency, particularly in reading technical materials.
