Network Engineer – Erbil/Shorsh Branch Bank of Baghdad is looking for a qualified and motivated Network Engineer to join our Information Technology team in Erbil .
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls . Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues. Manage and maintain WAN and VPN connections . Implement and maintain network security policies and controls . Support network expansion and connectivity projects across branches. Coordinate with telecommunications providers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) . Prepare and maintain technical network documentation. Participate in network-related Disaster Recovery (DR) testing . Provide network support to branches across the Northern Region when required.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science , or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering or network administration. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent technologies . Good knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching . Practical experience with WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability and willingness to travel between branches in the Northern Region when required. Good command of Kurdish, Arabic, and English . Previous experience in the banking or financial sector is considered an advantage.
Working Hours 5-day workweek: Sunday to Thursday Sunday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
