Electrical Substation Team Leader Location: Erbil & Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq Work Arrangement: 70% Site-Based / 30% Office-Based Working Days: Saturday–Thursday Working Hours: 8 hours/day Travel: Frequent travel to substation locations required Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Electrical Substation Team Leader to lead inspection, testing, and maintenance teams across substations in Erbil and Duhok. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, safety awareness, and experience with substation equipment and test-result analysis. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise inspection, testing, and maintenance teams. • Review and analyze electrical test results and assess asset condition. • Plan and coordinate daily technical activities and work orders. • Coordinate asset cutoffs, de-energization, and re-energization activities. • Ensure work follows approved Method Statements, IEC standards, and safety procedures. • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and monitor site progress. • Prepare technical progress reports and maintain accurate documentation. • Identify technical issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions. • Coordinate with the Project Coordinator and other site personnel. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. • Practical experience in electrical substation testing, inspection, or maintenance. • Experience leading technical teams is highly desirable. • Experience preparing Method Statements is preferred. • Strong knowledge of substation equipment and electrical systems. • Good analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel. • Kurdish and Arabic required; English preferred. • Willingness to travel frequently and work under demanding site conditions.
