Position: Kidney Transplant Surgeon Location: Karbala, Iraq Employment Type: Full-time / Contract Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for a Specialist Kidney Transplant Surgeon in Karbala, Iraq. You will be responsible for evaluating, managing, and performing surgical procedures for patients requiring renal replacement therapy through transplantation. Day-to-day tasks include conducting donor and recipient surgical evaluations, performing kidney procurement and transplant procedures, managing post-operative recovery, and handling surgical complications. Close collaboration with multi-disciplinary medical teams, including nephrologists, urologists, immunologists, and intensive care units, is essential to deliver comprehensive, high-standard patient care . Requirements: Board Certification or Fellowship in Renal Transplantation / Transplant Surgery (e.g., Arab Board, Iraqi Board, FRCS, or equivalent). 3 to 5 years of clinical experience specifically after obtaining the Board or Fellowship. Proven surgical mastery in kidney procurement, open renal transplantation, and management of post-transplant surgical complications. Excellent clinical decision-making skills under critical and emergent care conditions. Strong reporting and communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary clinical teams. Professional proficiency in spoken and written Arabic is required. Strong command of the English language.
