The Bağdat Türk Restoranı Project is a new Turkish restaurant initiative in Baghdad, designed to offer authentic cuisine in a welcoming, modern setting. The platform emphasizes professional standards, teamwork, and continuous improvement across its restaurant and kitchen operations. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Baghdad for the Bağdat Türk Restoranı Project, covering both restaurant floor and kitchen team responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks may include welcoming and serving guests, taking orders, coordinating table service, and ensuring a clean, organized dining area. Kitchen-related duties involve supporting food preparation, assisting chefs, following recipes and food safety standards, and maintaining hygiene and stock levels. Team members may also help with basic hiring activities such as onboarding new staff and supporting training, while actively communicating with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations and consistent service quality. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Food Service and Customer Service skills to deliver a high-quality dining experience. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with guests, colleagues, and management. Candidates should possess abilities in Hiring and basic team support to assist with onboarding and integrating new staff members. Candidates should possess practical Food Preparation skills and an understanding of kitchen operations and food safety. Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety standards. Proficiency in Turkish or Arabic, and basic English communication, is an advantage.
